A loud Chinese porcelain plate with a Famille Verte or Famille Rose-inspired enamel decoration, featuring a rich turquoise ground and floral and butterfly motif, a 20th-century reproduction in the Qing style. The use of vivid enamels over a green/teal glaze background echoes Famille Verte (五彩) and later Famille Rose (粉彩) techniques. The red mark is a six-character pseudo-reign mark, in a seal script style, likely reading something like “大清乾隆年制” (Made during the Qianlong reign of the Great Qing). However, this plate is not from the Qianlong period (1736–1795). It’s a modern or vintage homage—possibly Republic Period (1912–1949) or mid- to late 20th century—a very common practice in Chinese export ceramics.
